Dear Friends,
This morning we began our day with an adventure wild ride through the capital city of Kampala! To describe the sights and sounds would be impossible! I hope to figure out how to send photos soon. We went to our host church and had the delight of participating in a ceremony for multiple wedding couples! Pastor Tod married two of the couples and his father Pastor Dennis delivered the message. It was about 4hours and some of us were definitely suffering from the bobbing-head jet lag syndrome!
Now we are preparing to go back for the evening party which is outside! Looking forward to the wedding feast and party! It's an amazing blessing to these people to have our beautiful wedding gowns and flowers provided by the LBC Church family along with Pastor Tod's presence. He was here when the church began with just a few young men who wanted to make a better life for street kids...and a dream to start a church under the Mango trees! Today the church has four Sunday services and 3000 members!
Today's hero was Joel who worked all day as the wedding photographer assisted by Ryan. Joel even went to a special session with the Ugandans while the rest of us had an hour break! He said the best part was having to get out of the van to lift it over a speed bump! Lol
