Uganda

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your many prayers and encouragement!

Here are some pictures from today's work project at the orphanage! The oilbased paint over mold and chinked off wall board was a challenge but the time with the kids was amazing! This is a private Christian Home with no funding for maintenance at all, they were so grateful for the work we
did, the clothes we brought and the sheer fun we had! We were able to
buy them ten new mattresses and a hundred used sheet!

Tonight we broke into groups of two and were sent to different cell
groups, which was definitely out of our comfort zone as we went into
strangers homes with one English speaker but the stories were amazing!
After the testimony and prayer time Haleigh and I were asked to join
them in the kitchen to pray for our hostesses brother Henry. He had
broken his leg very badly in a motorcycle accident. He was laying on a
mat on the kitchen floor in an indescribable cast and much pain. He is
about 30 and the break is an economic disaster for a man here. So we
all prayed for him and at the end he told me that he had been listening
to our time of testimony and wanted to pray with me to become a
Christian, it was a great moment and surely made the trip here worth it
for me! I will get Henry one of the Bibles we brought and Pastor
Wilson will follow up with him! It's been a great day but we are up at
6am and ready to go tomorrow out to Pastor Phillip's village near the
head of the Nile! It will be a long wild van adventure and you can
pray that our program is well received and the gospel clearly received! We will also be crossing the equator!
